Character Role Analysis

The Old Man

Sure, he seems innocuous enough hanging out there, all imaginary and rocking in his rocking chair, but don't be fooled—he's actually the big bad here. His bigamy is the whole reason our protagonists ended up in this sibling-loving mess, and on top of that, he absolutely refuses to take any responsibility for his actions on that front.

Instead, he wants to live in his little delusional world in which his actions never affected anyone else badly—and for his kids to validate that fantasy. Sounds like a bad guy to us.
