Hulga a.k.a. Joy Timeline and Summary

Hulga has breakfast Saturday morning.
She's planning to meet Manley Pointer at 10:00 AM.
They made the date yesterday after he'd had lunch with her and her mother after trying to sell her mother a Bible.
She and Manley walk, kiss, and talk about God and nothing; Hulga thinks she's appreciating the conversation on a deeper level than Manley.
When Manley suggests they find a place to "sit down" (104), Hulga leads him to the barn loft.
He kisses her more, tells her he loves her, and asks her to tell him she loves him.
She explains she doesn't believe in love, but says she loves him anyway.
When he asks her to show him how to take off her wooden leg, she agrees, even though the idea at first upsets her.
After he refuses to give it back, she gets very upset.
She watched Manley run off with her leg in his Bible case.
