Portuguese Seafood Paella
- Matthew just lets his mom take the piece of paper out of his hand because it's better not to get into some kind of kerfuffle with her.
- She's all excited and tells the kids that she went to the grocery store and brought home everything they need to make seafood paella. Say what? None of the kids have ever heard of this particular dish.
- When Matthew enters the kitchen, he goes up to the Whole Foods shopping bag and looks in. The whole lot of groceries—which only amounts to two bags—cost over $120 dollars. And he already knows that this isn't the kind of food that a picky kid like Emmy will eat.
- Nikki perceives that Matthew is judging her for spending that much money on the ingredients, and she gets upset. She slaps him across the face with the frozen bag of mussels multiple times.
- One second later, Nikki is totally back to normal and cheerful. She's definitely a loose cannon, and these kids have to get out of here.
