The Boer War
- War is declared. Gandhi's personal sympathies are actually with the Boers, but nevertheless, he feels it's his duty as a British citizen to participate in the defense of the empire.
- So, he organizes an ambulance corps of Indians. They serve well for six weeks and increase the prestige of Indians.
