Character Analysis
Ellsworth is very good at his job. He's the exposition Board member who helps persuade Olmsted to join the venture. Ellsworth insists that what Chicago has in mind for the fair is even grander than the 1889 Paris Exposition. He sells Burnham's vision of a dream city to Olmstead, who changes his mind and agrees to help design the landscape.
