Midwinterblood Part 3, Chapter 5 Summary

  • Later, David realizes that Rebecka and Erik have given him their bedroom and he demands to be moved to another room—he doesn't want to put them out.
  • They help him move to a smaller room, but he gets upset again when he realizes that it's Benjamin's room. They assure him that everything is fine, though, and that the boy will sleep in the barn.
  • Rebecka gives David another shot of morphine. There isn't much left, but David's pain is still horrible.
  • As he drifts off to sleep David realizes he still has no idea where he is. Also, the family is arguing again—about him.
