- On Monday, Charlie is back at the bus stop. Vera inspects him for bruises or cuts, but he seems normal and disheveled as usual.
- She asks him why he was sick, and he gets agitated before telling her that he has a secret that she can't tell anyone: Charlie's been making thirty bucks a week selling his used underwear to the creepy guy in the white car that they saw that one time.
- Vera is shocked.
