Character Analysis
Herr and Frau Graff are a German couple who travel with their rambunctious son and daughter to Blessed Island to help improve Herr Graff's health. While the children are adorable free spirits who love ghost stories, their parents are sort sticks in the mud. They are super concerned with appearances and don't want to be embarrassed or made to look foolish in front of anyone. Naturally, they don't buy it when their children tell them a real-live ghost had been upstairs telling some awesome scary stories. See? Sticks in the mud.
